Their influence on the time dependence of the ***luminescence*** intensity of I(2P1/2) iodine atoms formed by laser photolysis of an RI-O2-M mixture (R=CH3, ***CF3*** , M is the buffer gas) was also studied. An analysis of the experimental data and of the results of numerical modeling, demonstrated that when CF3I was used as the iodine donor, CF3O2 quenched strongly the O2(1 Delta ) excited oxygen. The proposed kinetic model yielded the rate constant k=(3-5)*10-11 cm3/s for the reaction O2(1 Delta )+CF3O2 to O2(3 Sigma )+CF3O2. A new determination was made of the spectra of the quantum yield of photodissociation of the iodides CF3I, C3F7I, ( ***CF3*** )2CFI, and ( ***CF3*** )3CI. A clear qualitative interpretation of the results is proposed. These constants were determined for CF3I, 1-C3F7I, and ( ***CF3*** )3CI molecules using the radiation of the fourth harmonic (266 nm) with a pulse energy of 0.4-0.8 J.
